Depressing Gerald

For over a decade, my brother Gerald was Medical Officer for the Gurkha Regiment here in HK, and he often talked about these soldiers off-the-scale fitness levels.

Before the Handover in 1997, the HK Gurkha Regiment was disbanded and the soldiers were given the choice of being repatriated to Nepal or staying on in HK. Most chose to stay and are now an integral part of the life of this city.

As Gerald's birthday is in a few days, this posting, depressing as it is, is for him:
