What Kills Us This Week, in past months!

Garnered up all the HK Magazines I didn't read over the last two months since I was away.

Let's see what "Impending Dooms" had HK convinced meant their immediate and mass demise:

Week Three, July: Chinese Riot Police on Segways! Seems China equipped their Olympic Riot Squad with submachine guns and segways - those electric seats on wheels! Of course, we never got to see them, thankfully, but gosh, do they look silly!

Week Two, August: Ghosts! Apparently something strange was going down!

Week Three, August: Beer! Some UK studies had HK in a tizzy!

Week Four, August: Golf! Some nonsense from South Korea!

Week One, September: Incense! Smoke from incense, it seems, gives you cancer of the upper respiratory system!

Week Two, September: Thinking! Yup! A study published in the Psychosomatic Medicine Journal showed that the more thinking you did then the more food you ate then the fatter you got then the more likely you were to die of obesity-related illnesses! (Mmmm, that may explain why I'm thin!) (Well, used to be thin! These days I'm just thin-ish!)

Week Three, September: Alternative medicine! Tests done in Boston University show that Ayuvedic tinctures contain up to 10,000 times the safe limit of heavy metals like mercury and arsenic.

So, there we are, up to date - almost - on all the horror-scares I missed while away. Still need to get this week's HK Magazine and see how right I am with my posting below.
