A Literature Major friend sent me a list of 100 books BBC
thinks everyone should read. I was telling Emue, also a
Literature Major, about it and she wants to see the list
to count off how many she's read. This therefore is really
for Emue, but you may like to count them off as well.
The BBC believes most people will have only read 6 of the
100 books here. How do your reading habits stack up?

So, how did you do? You can see by the crosses I've read 67
of them, but that's because I'm a sad nerd from way-back. I've
also started a further five only found them unreadable. (I
will always contend no one on the planet has ever actually
finished James Joyce's "Ulysses".) And some of them I only
read because ... well, when you do a double major in
Literature and History, books like that ghastly "Germinal" -
which I contendno one has EVER read for pleasure - those
sadistic torturing BEASTS force you to read them!!!.
