"Stay Another Day" Organisation.

All the "This is So Bad I Have to Do Something to Help" people in South East Asia have linked themselves together under the banner of "Stay Another Day". They request that, when you visit the region, you register your skills at their website or at one of their 'outlets' and see if they can slot you in for a day someplace where you and your skills are needed.

You can always spot people who've signed up and done something. They're the ones wearing that strange glow.

Frida from Norway.
Glowing.

Frida is traveling with her boyfriend Jappe during their vacation from college. They registered with "Stay Another Day" before they left home, and it was decided they should go out to an elephant refuge to tend sick elephants. It was only for a day initially but their help was so needed and they enjoyed it so much they ended up staying a fortnight.

Both Frida and Jappe said it was a mighty experience and absolutely the best thing they have ever done in their lives.

Me? I just went to Big Brother Mouse and edited a bit. Not quite the same thing, but still needful and fun!

So how about it? Devote a day of your Laos holiday helping where you're needed? Who knows where you'll end up! You'll find out what you need to know at: http://www.stayanotherday.org/
