Posting this for Robert despite him now being up in China, where my blog is banned as a "dingbat" - a destabilising influence on the state - tee hee!
Yesterday, here in Wan Chai we went along to the shop that sells cookbooks almost exclusively and came across this one:
And inside?

Denise: If your blog has been banned in China then maybe you're doing something right. And maybe one of these days you'll e-mail me back. Victor Benstead VicB3@AOL.COM (Hi! Remember me??) Sitting here in Palos Verdes with rooms - a house - full of both books and ... ummm, let's just say my other hobby makes an altogether loud, ear splitting bang ... bored on a Saturday night. Of course, I could go for a "weird drive" up Main St. through gang territory and into East L.A. looking for the ultimate carnitas taco truck, but no. Maybe I'll go up to the the Santa Ynez Valley or Ojai tomorrow. Or maybe just steal the neighbour's dogs - Springer Spaniel showdogs that NEVER get out othewise - and go behind the gates in Portuguese Bend and let them smell horses and goats and stuff. But only after the obligatory seven mile walk on The Strand. (Gotta' get that walk in!) Got to thinking and your name popped up in my dim milk-like consciousness. Funny how these things work. Do wish you'd write back. Miss our stimulating E-mail back and forth. Victor
