What Kills Us This Week! China!

Since HK is still choosing to panic about #27, I'm going further afield this week. And it's a doozy!

In South China, where they can pick up HK TV, there is an underground gambling racket based on our Mark 6 Lotto.

As you know, Lotto is based on a random set of numbers pulled from a spinning bowl so there's no way of knowing what will come up, and Mark 6 is no different ... but that's not the way it's seen in South China.

Guangdongers are convinced that the English-language stations give hints to English speakers about what numbers to choose, and so are fiercely monitoring the English stations trying to figure out how it's done ...

And because no one's yet been able to break the code, this week a gang of villagers kidnapped a group of government officials and held them hostage until someone told them the secret.

After they were eventually released, they said the situation was so absurd they didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Do you love, love, love it?

So that's my choice for this week:

THREATDOWN

Hong Kong's
Sinister English TV broadcasts!
