What Kills Us This Week! China!

This week isn't about HK, which has been very sensible and sane so far this week, even though nine birds have tested positive for bird flu.

This week it's about China and it's a no-brainer.

Every newspaper this last fortnight has carried a headline story of someplace in China that was burned to the ground with a serious loss of life - the most recent the luxury hotel next door to the big Chinese TV station in Beijing - and each of these fires was caused by genuinely silly folk ... celebrating the New Year by ... letting off fireworks indoors.

So that's my choice for this week:

THREATDOWN
Sheer unmitigated stupidity.

And for those folk who have asked me what "threatdown" means, they're the Chinese calligraphy characters for "panic"!
