The single song the Rest-of-Fiji hated above any other; the song we had to listen to for over 30 years; the very song that summed up exactly why we all hated it so much when Radio Fiji One merged with Radio Fiji Three; the song we all detested so much every one of us knew all the words and sang it whenever anyone said anything good about the merger!
Here it is, Mai Kai Loma! THE WORST SONG IN THE WHOLE WORLD!!
All we have to find now is that Hindi song about the dove on the washing line being killed in a hurricane!

Hi Denise, That was a very popular song in the early 70's. It was so popular that a lot of Fijian Bands played it in the clubs in Fiji. It is all about LOVE. It talks about how he has given his heart to someone and how wonderful it feels and the everyone should experience this feeling and goes on to say that if you take someones heart you should also experience to give your own. This song has won lots of awards in its days! Of course the Fijians did not understand lyrics but still enjoyed the music!
