Derek Jarman's "Jubilee"

After seeing Jean-Luc Godard's 1968 film "Sympathy for the Devil", we have been racking our brains trying to think of a film that is actually worse.

Was a real poser and we were almost stuck until we recalled "Jubilee". Do you remember it? The 1977 punk film starring, I think, Tilda Swinton and just about every other British punk from the era?

My word, that was an awful film! From what I recall the only saving grace was Amyl Nitrate dressed as Boudicca and singing "Rule Britannia". Let me see if Saint Youtube, patron saint of memory and purveyor of all things, can once again grant me this boon:

Ah, thank you, Saint Youtube:

OK, THAT was the only part of "Jubilee" that was worth seeing, so now you can save yourself two hours of abject stupidity because you now know, if you don't see it for yourself, all you're missing is famous punks lying around on beds talking, and, boy oh boy, what a lot of mindless and vacuous chatter! Oh, but there's one moment when someone carves the word "Love" on someone else's back that's mildly interesting, but that's it.

Later: Reading about this stupid film after all this time, seems it's become a Cult Classic, but I think that's just Glitterati-Speak for "Film we talk about but don't actually want to see!"
