HK Art Exhibition

HK is currently having it's annual Art Exhibition down at the Convention Centre. Have already been once but was so impressed I'm going again this afternoon. Will be doing several blogs on this, but for now here's a couple of photographs of the artist who has impressed me most.

His name is Shi Jindian and he's a sculptor who lives up in Shenzhen, just over the border, and his latest offering is ...

... his lace car chassis

Isn't it amazing. Just look at the detail:

And you know something really astonishing? Although it looks exactly like lace but - shhh! don't tell anyone I did this - if you touch it you'll discover he's made all the lace out of very thin, fine wire.
