How many ways do I love these? For Lady R.

Two of my favourite things in the world? 1) Blue and white china 2) Mosaics.

So how much do I LOVE these pieces:

Mosaic frock. Mosaic cheong sam

What to do with my broken china, right? Mmm, if only!

And although this isn't mosaic, what do you think of this piece?

Blue and white china
Skull and Jaw

And talking about mosaic cheong sams, what do you think of these?

More mosaic dresses.

Do you love them? And can you see what they're made of?

Mahjong tiles! No, really. Here's another picture where you can make it out more clearly:

(You may have to double-click)

And talking about things made out of other things, can you see what this pig is made of:

What to do with old identity cards!

And more things made out of other things:

Paintings made out of
chewed up bits of paper.

A street-scape made out of old jeans.

A dragon made out of old tyres.

A nude made out of string and buttons.

A Chinese flag made out of cut-up bits
of Mao's Little Red Book.

A Buddha made out of a cow hide.

A fabulous painting made out
of bits of old
Communist Party propaganda.

And another piece by the same artist
using the same medium.

And you know how you LOVE outsider art made from old bottle tops? Check this out:

Kiwi Heather checks it out!

Yes, see! It really is a wall-hanging made entirely of old bottle tops!

Gosh, there is some truly special artists up in China! I am so impressed I'd even say I'm over-whelmed and over-awed by the work coming out of there at the moment. You go, Chinese Artistes!

Naturally there is much more of this to come, but, for now, I'm off to look at it all again. Gosh, this art is TERRIFIC!
